Channel Islands Pronunciations

Channel 103 and Island FM have been part of life in the Channel Islands for more than 30 years, so we've had a bit of time to get acquainted with the region's unique names and places.

While Jersey tends to stick to how things would be pronounced in French, in Guernsey, some pronunciations are somewhat more Anglicised.

We created this interactive pronunciation guide to help new presenters and journalists who joined our team get up to speed, but as we've found it a valuable resource, we thought others might too.
